Cities and landscapes that give our inner worlds an outer manifestation. Who determines whom, the environment the humans or the humans the land? This graphic serial already contains hundreds of drawings and increases constantly. In most cases these drawings and sketches are independent works and filigree alternative drafts and opposites of my colourful canvas painting. I don’t need pre-outlines or a post-editing in my drawings, it is always the first impulsive impression that takes form. I love the lightness of a sketchy interpretation. I pick up my basic issue – the search of reality by reduction and abstraction – also in this serial.

I act with graphite, charcoal and ink, sometimes also with crayon and I mix these materials just as I like. In addition, my drawing œuvre also contains book illustrations and some illustrative remittance works for radio dramas, e.g. “Das Canossa-Virus” (2006, The Canossa-Virus, with Bodo Primus), “Jonas – der letzte Detektiv” (2008, Jonas – The Last Detective, with Peer Augustinski and Uwe Friedrichsen) as well as “Ixplorer 5003 – Captain Ormogs Suche nach menschlicher Intelligenz” (2007, Ixplorer 5003 – Captain Ormog’s Search Of Human Intelligence with Andreas Fröhlich).
